The tournament is scheduled to be played in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025. The tournament is planned to be the first under an expanded format with 32 teams, including the winners of the four previous continental championships.

- The United States will host the 2025 edition of the expanded event, which will be held every four years thereafter. - The tournament will have eight groups of four with the top two teams from each group going through to the knockout stages -- the same format as the World Cup.
