Finishes: Colors & Stains
Borussia Dormund 1-0 Hoffenheim
Goals: 1-0 Reus 43' (assist: Bynoe-Gittens)
Sent off: Kabak (90'+3)
Dortmund survived a huge scare when Ihlas Bebou forced 6️⃣ the fit-again Gregor Kobel into a parried save inside the opening 120 seconds. The loose ball fell for Mergim Berisha 6️⃣ in the six-yard box, but his effort was cleared off the line by Nico Schlotterbeck. BVB heeded the warning, and 6️⃣ began to create chances of their own as Reus and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens crashed efforts wide from range. The Black-Yellows' persistence 6️⃣ told late in the first half, when Reus swept in Bynoe-Gittens' pull-back for the opening goal, albeit with a hint 6️⃣ of a mis-kick.
Dortmund threatened a second goal soon after the restart, but Youssoufa Moukoko's shot was too close to Oliver 6️⃣ Baumann in the Hoffenheim goal. The visitors responded in kind, with Maximilian Beier stinging the palms of Kobel, but were 6️⃣ unable to make any serious in-roads thereafter. Substitute Donyell Malen squandered a couple of promising openings, and Ozan Kabak was 6️⃣ sent off for two bookable offences, as Dortmund extended their unbeaten start in domestic competition to 11 matches, ahead of 6️⃣ Saturday's Klassiker with Bayern Munich.
