The idea for Trello was conceived by Joel Spolsky, Michael Pryor, and Daniel Tenner. They wanted to create a visual and intuitive tool for managing tasks and projects, inspired by the Kanban system used in manufacturing. Trello was officially released to the public in September 2011.

While there are many popular project management tools on the market, Trello offers a simpler approach to task management with hybrid team coordination. It makes it easier for teams to manage tasks, collaborate on projects and stay organized.
