There are 13 metropolitan areas represented: Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis-Saint Paul, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco Bay Area and Washington, D.C. The ones in bold have all four teams within the city limits.

Here are the cities that have won the most championships in the four major sports. New York is the champion of champions with 54 total (this includes the championships won prior to the Super Bowl era). The 27 World Series titles alone would have New York at the top of the list.
